10 Reasons Phoenix Rocks

In 2011, we set out to help schools change lives by transforming the way higher education delivers student financial services with the first—and only—unified platform. Arizona’s always been our home base, here are just a few reasons why.

Cost of Living

All about high-growth, Phoenix hasn’t lost that familiar feel. It’s the perfect place for entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners alike looking to build a strong foundation while maintaining a reasonable financial outlook.

Weather

With 299 days of sunshine, you can’t help but feel energized. We hit our first 100-degree day of 2018 on April 10!

Recreation

Remember those 299 days of sunshine? They make it REALLY easy to get outside and play. Fishing, boating, hiking, baseball, football; we’ve got it.

Accessibility

Love to travel? In close proximity to Northern Arizona, California, Mexico, and Las Vegas, one of the best things about Phoenix is how easy it is to hit the road for a weekend trip.

No.Natural.Disasters.

We’re one of the safest cities in the U.S. when it comes to natural disasters. Sure, we get the odd Haboob, but the only repair needed is usually a carwash.

Culture

Phoenix is where several native cultures (22 federally recognized tribes!) collaborate and thrive. You’ll also find exceptional award-winning museums, art walks, and festivals galore.

Neighborhood Vibes

Depending on where you live in the valley, you can find “California-like” Fountain Hills, the farmland of Gilbert, masterplanned communities in Chandler, culture and activity downtown, and the nightlife and college-town vibe of Tempe–all within the city limits.

Food

A foodie’s paradise, Phoenix has everything from comfort-food classics to the amazing tacos that help define Arizona’s cuisine.

Sports

No matter the season, we’ve got you covered. Arizona is home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, the MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks, and the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes.

#YESPHX Community

Born and raised in Phoenix, the generous startup community is one of our CEO’s favorite things. Read more about his take on it (and cookies) here
