1. What are you announcing today?

On February 16, 2017, CampusLogic announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cegment’s Net Price Calculator and Award Letter business. Cegment is the creator of the most widely adopted commercial net price calculator, a digital, personalized tool developed to help families better understand and compare the cost of a college degree.

The Cegment calculator allows students to see the total cost of a degree in yearly increments, including financial aid eligibility, loan debt, and estimated post-graduation monthly loan repayments. Cegment also provides award letter strategies.

  • Our mission is to help schools change lives by increasing accessibility to education, reducing student borrowing, and driving down the cost of financial aid administration. We believe the acquisition provides additional solutions for colleges and universities to do so.
  • This acquisition establishes the first end-to-end student financial aid engagement platform, designed to personalize the student financial aid journey from college search through graduation.
  • Cegment has created some of the most widely-used commercial cost-estimation products, making it easier for colleges and universities to provide cost transparency and demonstrate the value of their programs to families.

6. How will customers benefit from this acquisition?

This acquisition provides CampusLogic and Cegment college and university partners with the only end-to-end student financial aid engagement platform designed to help schools improve enrollment yield, streamline efficiencies for FA staff and students, and provide the best student experience by better engaging students from college search through graduation.

All of our school partners can take advantage of the CampusLogic Student Engagement platform to:

  • Simplify financial aid forms with StudentFormsSM
  • Deliver digital, mobile award letters with AwardLetterSM

7. How will Cegment products fit within the CampusLogic platform?

CampusLogic will offer Cegment’s cost and aid utilities through the new brand CampusLogic NPC. New award letter solutions will become part of CampusLogic’s AwardLetter. And, Cegment Analytics and Insight products will become part of CampusLogic’s CampusMetrics.


8. What happens to the Cegment brand?

The Cegment brand will be replaced immediately by the CampusLogic brand.


9. Where will CampusLogic be located?

CampusLogic headquarters will remain in Gilbert, Arizona.


10. What does this mean to Cegment customers?

For Cegment customers, your current Cegment products will not be affected in any way. Support will continue under your current Cegment contract.

12. My Cegment product is up for renewal. What should I do?

CampusLogic Customer Success will manage customer renewals, and will reach out to set up a personalized executive business review prior to your renewal. For immediate assistance, contact customer success at 602.643.1380.


13. What does this mean to CampusLogic customers?

Your current CampusLogic products will not be affected in any way. Soon you’ll have the opportunity to expand your CampusLogic platform with new net price calculator and analytics capabilities.
