The University of Arizona Makes FinAid Easy, Mobile, Personalized


UA improves and streamlines access to financial aid with CampusLogic

PHOENIX, August 25, 2016 – The University of Arizona (UA) is the latest higher education institution in Arizona to sign on with CampusLogic’s financial aid student engagement platform. “We are a school/aid office that has been dedicated to streamlining and improving access to financial aid resources for students for years,” says Director of UA’s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, Rebekah Salcedo, Ph.D. “Implementing StudentForms by CampusLogic is a great next step in improving our financial aid services to UA students.”

Before Arizona was a state, there was UA. One of the world’s premier public research universities, UA’s annual enrollment exceeds 42,000 students, with about 86 percent of undergraduate students relying on financial aid. The same holds true for their approach to financial aid.

UA is implementing StudentForms, a key component of the CampusLogic financial aid engagement platform. “We are most excited about alleviating the confusion students have surrounding financial aid forms and how to submit them correctly without inadvertently causing additional conflicting information,” Salcedo explains. “Students will greatly benefit from the improved communication of knowing immediately if their form was submitted correctly or if there are additional actions they need to take.”

StudentForms automates FAFSA verification, professional judgments, SAP appeals, and C-code resolution processes. StudentForms also enables mobile document submission for students, and provides a student engagement portal where the entire verification process is managed digitally, facilitating student notifications, document collection, data validation and school communication. Current StudentForms users have decreased verification processing times between 50 to 90 percent, while eliminating paper workflows and improving student satisfaction. Automated student follow-up via SMS/text will further decrease the cycle time and improve the student experience.
