StudentVerification Saves Higher Ed Schools Time and Money on SAP Appeal Processing

Phoenix, Ariz. (May 21, 2015) CampusLogic has extended the StudentVerification cloud platform to allow higher education institutions to manage satisfactory academic progress (SAP) appeals in one place – reducing associated costs operating costs and improving student communication.

“For many institutions the SAP appeal process is paper form driven and very time consuming.” said Chris Chumley, CampusLogic Chief Operating Officer. “By making process completely electronic, reviewing appeals and making a decision happens in a fraction of the time.”

Financial aid regulations require institutions to evaluate a student’s academic progress in order to maintain financial aid eligibility. If a student receiving financial aid is not making satisfactory academic progress, schools are required to notify the student of ineligibility for further aid. Students are allowed to appeal the process, which can result in considerable back and forth between the school and student to collect the appeal and supporting documentation.

Using StudentVerification, schools and their students can complete the SAP process within cloud-based, student self-service software. The software manages all notifications to prompt students to complete web forms and submit the necessary documentation. Likewise, financial aid staff is notified when web forms and documents have been submitted and can quickly approve or deny the SAP appeal.

SAP appeals is the first of several planned StudentVerification expansions beyond verification processing, as CampusLogic continues to sculpt the software that saves financial aid offices time and money, while giving their students secure self-service.
